A well-known clinician, teacher and author, Dr. Shahmoon Shanok’s expertise includes parent development, assessment and intervention; interventions with developmentally and/or traumatically challenged young children and their parents; peer play psychotherapy; interweaving mental health services in community-based settings; and training, reflective supervision and practice in the birth to preschool field. Educated and experienced as a clinical psychologist, social worker and early childhood educator, Dr Shamoon Shanok also has concentrations in psychoanalysis and child-parent psychotherapy.
