1. Who should join ZERO TO THREE?

Our members have diverse backgrounds and work to support the well-being of children prenatal to age 5 and their families in lots of different ways. Their work spans the fields of Early Care and Education, Early Intervention, Child Welfare, Infant Mental Health, and Pediatrics. They provide direct service to children and families, administer programs for young children, and work to plan, create policy, and fund early childhood systems. Our multidisciplinary members bring so much to our community, you’ll learn something new every time you interact with each other!

2. How much does membership cost?

Student/Retiree Membership (Digital)—includes 6 issues of the ZERO TO THREE Journal with digital access only $50
Canadian Membership (Digital)—includes 6 issues of the ZERO TO THREE Journal with digital access only $100
Canadian Membership (Print)—includes 6 printed issues of the ZERO TO THREE Journal as well as digital access $140

3. How long is the membership period?

Your membership term is for one year and begins on the day you join.

4. When should I renew my membership?

You can renew at any time. Your renewed membership will begin the day your prior membership ends.

5. What forms of payment do you accept for membership?

Membership payment can be made via check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).

6. Do you offer group discounts for schools or organizations?

Yes, group discounts for multiple members from the same school or organization are available. If you’re interested, contact us at 800-899-4301 and we’ll be happy to help.

7. When will I receive my membership welcome mailer?

You can expect to receive your welcome mailer approximately 4–5 weeks after your membership is been activated.

8. I recently joined ZERO TO THREE. When will I begin to receive member communications and resources like the ZERO TO THREE Journal, and have access to member exclusives on the ZERO TO THREE website?

You will begin to receive member correspondence and will have access to member exclusive resources online right away! The ZERO TO THREE Journal and the member newsletter are released bimonthly and in opposite months of each other. Depending on when you sign up, you should receive either the newsletter or the journal within 4 weeks with the other arriving in the following month.

9. I’ve left my current position and will begin work at another organization. Can I keep my membership?

Yes. Your membership stays with you. We would love to hear about your new position, please be sure to go online and update your profile with the new information.

10. I am required to have current membership with a national or local early childhood professional organization to renew my CDA credential. Does ZERO TO THREE membership meet that requirement?

Yes! Your acceptance email provides the proof you need to confirm your current membership.

11. Who is eligible for a student membership?

If you are currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student, you are eligible for full membership benefits with digital access to the ZERO TO THREE Journal! Please let us know the month and year you expect to graduate when you enroll.

12. I am retired, but I wish to maintain my connection with ZERO TO THREE and the community. Is there a membership option for retirees?

Yes! We offer full membership benefits with digital access to the ZERO TO THREE Journal at a reduced rate for retirees.

13. Are my membership dues tax-deductible?

ZERO TO THREE dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for U.S. federal income tax purposes, but they may be deductible as a business expense.

14. What is ZERO TO THREE’s membership cancellation policy?

ZERO TO THREE does not refund payments for memberships, however, membership is transferrable. Please contact us at (800) 899-4301, to arrange to transfer your membership.

15. I have been a member of ZERO TO THREE for many years. How do I receive the benefits?

ZERO TO THREE’s membership program actually launched in June of 2016. Prior to that, no one was able to officially be a member. And while we greatly appreciate the loyalty of our long-time supporters, no one is eligible for member benefits until they actually join. Current Journal subscribers can upgrade to membership to keep receiving the Journal and gain member benefits. Call 800-899-4301 to upgrade today.
