Janice Im is the Chief Program Officer at ZERO TO THREE.
As the Chief Program Officer, Janice Im is responsible for oversight of ZERO TO THREE’s Program Division. Prior to stepping in as the Chief Program Officer, Janice served as ZERO TO THREE’s Senior Director of Programs in which she was responsible for leadership and managerial oversight of assigned projects within the Program Division and as ZERO TO THREE’s Project Director for both Literacy, Learning and Life and Cradling Literacy in Children in Kentucky (CLICK), both professional development research grants funded through the U.S. Department of Education’s Early Childhood Professional Development grant. Her past experience as adjunct faculty at the Graduate School of Education at George Mason University, an infant toddler and early childhood teacher, Early Head Start program manager, Early Learning Coordinator for the national Head Start initiative on mentor-coaching, and the regional training and technical assistance lead for Early Head Start and Professional Development for the Region III Quality Improvement Center informs her work. Janice has presented on a variety of early childhood topics at the local, regional and national level, co-authored ZERO TO THREE’s Cradling Literacy: Building Teachers’ Skills to Nurture Early Language and Literacy and I’m Here for You Now and has helped to guide and develop other curriculum materials and training guides. She holds a B.S. and M.S. degree in Family and Child Development which she received from Virginia Tech.
