Sarah Ray Rimington

Ms. Rimington has spent the last 15 years working in the child welfare and juvenile court systems. Prior to joining the National Infant-Toddler Court Program (ITCP), Ms. Rimington was a Site Manager for the Child Abuse and Neglect Division at the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ). In that role, Ms. Rimington worked closely with juvenile dependency courts across the nation to facilitate systems change and support the implementation of best practices. This was accomplished through consultation, tailored technical assistance and training, research, and evaluation. From 2005 to 2014, she provided direct service and support to families and children in a number of California counties.
Professional experience and expertise include: program development and implementation; evaluation and assessment of court systems; trauma-informed practices and environments; system reform; domestic child sex trafficking; foster care licensing and kinship; and, child welfare best practices.
The practical experience Ms. Rimington gained as a social worker, combined with her involvement in macro-level system reform efforts, provides a unique understanding of direct service field work in addition to a national perspective on best practices in child welfare and juvenile court systems.
