Whitney Pesek, JD, is a Senior Policy Analyst for ZERO TO THREE.
As a Senior Policy Analyst, Whitney contributes to the federal policy work of ZERO TO THREE, with expertise on work and family issues, early care and education, and child welfare. Prior to joining ZERO TO THREE, Whitney served as the Juvenile Justice Specialist and Legislative Liaison with the Ohio General Assembly Correctional Institution Inspection Committee, where she led legislative oversight of Ohio’s incarcerated youth and other vulnerable prison populations. Whitney also served in AmeriCorps T.E.A.C.H. Corps in North Carolina, where she provided educational release time to early childhood teachers. She also has experience as an Early Head Start Teacher.
Whitney was selected as a Bergstrom Child Welfare Law Fellow, where she received comprehensive training on child welfare law and practice. Whitney holds a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Ohio University.
