Accountability and Evaluation

States can improve the services and systems that support young children and families by identifying measurable outcomes and indicators.

Regular and ongoing review and use of data on the health, development, and well-being of infants and toddlers can guide continuous improvement and inform planning, policy, and practice. Data collection, reporting, and analysis can be connected across the comprehensive early childhood system to answer critical policy questions. Development of data systems to track outcomes and benchmarks can make this process easier.
