A Sustainability Toolkit for Infant-Toddler Court Team States and Sites

Planning for the sustainability of Infant-Toddler Court Teams is critical to ensuring their long-term success.

The toolkit is intended for State Teams who work in collaboration with local sites to implement the Infant-Toddler Court Team (ITCT) approach, as well as for local sites that are not affiliated with a state implementation effort.

The Sustainability Toolkit is designed to support teams in several specific ways:

  1. Synthesize findings from surveys and interviews with states and local sites and draw from other sustainability work in the health and human services field.
  2. Walk through the updated Sustainability Framework with definitions of the six key elements.
  3. Offer key questions that teams can consider when planning for sustainability.
  4. Provide practical strategies and tools for teams at different stages of implementation.

This serves as a starting point for teams, including key questions and tools that can be adapted to the local or state context. Teams will need to set aside time to strategize and plan for sustainability, so follow-up action steps and worksheets are also included.

The Infant-Toddler Court Program National Resource Center presents its recently launched Sustainability Toolkit for Infant-Toddler Court Teams States and Sites. It’s never too soon for Infant-Toddler Court Teams (ITCTs) to begin strategizing around the multitude of complex factors that lead to sustainability. In support of this planning process, the featured speakers provide an overview of each of the key elements of sustainability, along with tools and resources developed to support the long-term success of ITCTs.

This program was made possible through the support of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of an award totaling $5,000,000 with 0 percent financed from non-governmental sources.
