For young children, healthy nutrition and the feeding environment are integral to their growth and development. Today, with concerns about obesity and the impacts of social determinants of health, tension around feeding children runs high both for parents and in center-based care. Mindful eating is an intentional, engaging way to shift our attention and expand our approach to eating and feeding children that considers the importance of relationships.

In this session we joined Dr. Lenna Liu and ZERO TO THREE’s, Maria Gehl, to learn about mindful eating. Together we explore new ways to look at eating and discuss how to share mindful eating with children and families.
