Intimate partner violence (also known as domestic violence) is one of the top three issues consistently identified by child welfare practitioners serving children and their caregivers in the United States.

In the past two years with the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a dramatic increase in intimate partner violence in this country. This has implications for how to best support families with young children affected by intimate partner violence who are involved in the child welfare system.

Tips on how to support greater safety for adults experiencing intimate partner violence and their children will also be covered. This event will combine a one-hour webinar with a 30-minute facilitated open forum to ask questions and to talk candidly about what’s coming up in your practice related to intimate partner violence.
