Health Care Services: A Critical Support for Infants, Toddlers, and Families
Low-income infants, toddlers, parents, and pregnant woman should have quality, affordable, publicly financed health insurance.
Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provide crucial preventive services and other health care. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) enables many low-income parents to get coverage for the first time, either through Medicaid, in states that choose that option, or through subsidized coverage.
