Reflecting on Our Progress: Convening to Promote a Cross-Sector Approach in the Prenatal to Age 5 Field
Past, present, and future participants of the P-5 Cross-Sector Core Competencies Training came together at the California Endowment on Friday, September 9, 2017, to connect and discuss ways to support the many needs of expectant parents, young children, and their families.
Participants of the convening represented professionals from various agencies, roles, and sectors, all focused on identifying key strategies to move the field toward a cross-sector approach. Participants at the event reflected on cross-sector collaborative efforts, shared plans to improve child and family outcomes, strategized with one another, and discussed ways to increase engagement with cross-sector colleagues. This document summarizes the strategies and recommendations discussed at the convening and how the Prenatal to Age Five Workforce Development Project will continue to support the move to a cross-sector approach across Los Angeles County.
