The Child Development Case for Paid Family Leave Insurance in New York
This fact sheet, developed as part of an advocacy campaign for strong, paid family leave, makes the child developmental case for New York state's enactment of paid family leave legislation.

New York became the fourth state in the country to guarantee paid family leave to bond with a new child or care for a seriously ill family member in 2016. This fact sheet was developed by ZERO TO THREE in partnership with the New York Paid Family Leave Insurance Campaign and the National Partnership for Women and Families as part of the advocacy campaign to encourage passage of the law.
