This paper offers a framework and approaches to strengthen professional development opportunities for the infant/toddler workforce.
In the early care and education (ECE) field, the infant/toddler (I/T) workforce is sometimes the least educated and under compensated, with the highest turnover rate. These factors are disturbing in light of the growing research that demonstrates that the brain undergoes the most dramatic development during the first 3 years of life.
