Infant and Toddler Credential Fact Sheet
This fact sheet provides an overview and describes the components and requirements of states’ infant/toddler credentials.
The purpose of this paper is to offer a guide to States planning to develop or implement a system for formally recognizing the specialized knowledge and skill sets needed by infant/toddler caregivers. Examples and experiences of existing State infant/toddler credentialing systems are provided, as well as valuable insights gained from their development.
This paper offers suggestions for the inclusion of quality indicators for infants and toddlers within Quality Rating and Improvement Systems being implemented in states, tribes, and territories.
