This issue provides a look into the work of infant mental health specialists in home-based settings, in medical practices, and in the child welfare system.
Stories can be a potent way to deepen the knowledge and skills of those who work with young children and their families. Telling our stories allow us to share the meaningful experiences we have with families, gain new insights, and find inspiration through the work of others. Each July the Zero to Three journal highlights the often challenging and powerful work that early childhood professionals are engaged in across various disciplines and settings and while working with a variety of family concerns. This issue provides a look into the work of infant mental health specialists in home-based settings, in medical practices, and in the child welfare system. The authors describe the process of creating safe, supportive relationships that foster healthy parent–child attachment and allow the children and families to grow and thrive.
