Explore and filter sessions
Each LEARN Preconference and Conference session is labeled with the primary (and some secondary) early childhood disciplines and professional role(s) it is designed for. Use the “Tags” below to help you filter and identify the most relevant sessions for your learning needs and goals.
The session descriptions include the content level, all related roles and disciplines, and The ZERO TO THREE Competencies for Prenatal to Age 5 (P-5) Professionals™ (P-5 Competencies), which provides a universal set of competencies necessary for all prenatal-5 service providers, supervisors, and managers.
With seven unique session types to choose from, fully curate your LEARN Conference experience in a way that matches your early childhood professional development goals.
Plenary and Keynote Sessions bring the full LEARN Conference community together for inspiring, innovative, and engaging presentations (include introductory comments and special awards = 1 hour)
Pilot! Leadership Labs are 3-part* focused, practical sessions designed specifically for IECMH and ECE leaders culminating in actionable plans (span 3 concurrent breakout blocks = 3 hours total)
*Ideally, learners participate in all 3 parts of a Leadership Lab, but each part may be taken as a “stand-alone” session
Issue Intensives have a deep dive focus on an early childhood topic, process or issue and include opportunities for learners to explore ways to use and apply the content in their work.
Issue Intensives include a mixture of presentation/information sharing to set context and interactive activities.
Issue Intensives are delivered in 2-parts, each 60 minutes for 120 minutes (2 hours).
Lecture Sessions present new information or evolving understandings about a specific topic, process, or issue.
Lecture Sessions provide 60-minutes of content presentation or information sharing, with Q&A incorporated.
Pilot Synergy Circles are held in a large room with three faculty/faculty groups and three participant table groups; faculty spark dialogue and encourage practical application considerations in each participant group, rotating every 20 minutes (span 1 concurrent breakout block = 1 hour)
Baby Talks are rapid-paced sessions summarizing powerful ideas and teeing-up related questions or considerations for discussion (span 1 concurrent breakout block = 1 hour)
Poster Presentations use text and graphics to share a concise visual presentation of research concepts and questions, studies, and/or findings; or the story of field knowledge, models, processes or other implementation projects, and/or lessons learned.
Poster Presentations will be displayed throughout the LEARN Conference with live Q&A during the lunch break each day.
