IECMH Children’s Funding Project Webinar Series

Sustainable funding is essential to strong infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH) systems. This 3-part webinar series, hosted by ZERO TO THREE’s Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) Financing Policy Project and the Children’s Funding Project, helps states go deeper into strategic public financing.

Watch one, two, or all three sessions, packed with practical tools to help your state answer three essential questions, specific to your IECMH system:

  • What are we investing in now?
  • What will it actually cost to meet the need?
  • How do we close the gap?

This webinar series is for:

  • IECMH Financing Policy Project (FPP) state team members
  • Medicaid and state agency leaders
  • Practicing IECMH clinicians
  • Child and family advocates
  • State, regional or local policy and finance leaders
  • Lawmakers and budget appropriations leaders

IECMH Financing Webinar 1: Fiscal Mapping

Presenter: Amelia Vaughn, Senior Director of Fiscal Data Infrastructure, Children’s Funding Project and Allie Farrell, Senior Manger, Partnerships, Children’s Funding Project

What you’ll learn: Want to know where IECMH funding is already going? This session will show you how to use cradle-to-career fiscal maps to find and analyze your state’s IECMH investments. We’ll demo how to drill down into existing data and spotlight how one state team is doing it.

Why it matters: You can’t plan future investments without knowing what’s already in place.

IECMH Financing Webinar 2: Understanding True Costs of IECMH Programs and Services

Presenter: Kate Ritter, Senior Manager of Cost Modeling, Children’s Funding Project and Allie Farrell, Senior Manger, Partnerships, Children’s Funding Project

What you’ll learn: How much does it really cost to meet the mental health needs of infants and toddlers in your state? This session will walk you through cost modeling tools to define the “big number” needed for full-service delivery. You’ll also work through an interactive goal-setting activity with support from CFP.

Why it matters: Numbers make the case and help guide bold, data-informed policy.

IECMH Financing Webinar 3: Filling the Gap: Tax Revenue Building

Presenters: Olivia Allen, VP of Strategy, Children’s Funding Project and Advocacy and Allie Farrell, Senior Manger, Partnerships, Children’s Funding Project

What you’ll learn: New funding takes new thinking. This session focuses on how states can grow IECMH funding through smart tax policy and strategic revenue conversations. We’ll break down what you need to know and how to get involved in revenue solutions that work.

Why it matters: To scale IECMH services, we have to grow the pie, not just slice it differently.

Let’s work together to build the budget and the system babies need.
