Mindfulness and Self Care: Building a Resilient Community and Culture of Caring

Working with trauma can lead to vicarious traumatization
To honor National Child Welfare Worker Appreciation Week, Safe Babies™ hosted a webinar with ZERO TO THREE Board Member Dr. Joy Osofsky. Because working with trauma can lead to vicarious traumatization, this event will focus on mindfulness and self-care. To support resilience, it’s important to explore personal and professional prevention strategies for compassion fatigue and be fully present and aware of feelings related to working with young children and families in child welfare.

Presenters:

Dr. Joy Osofsky, Paul J. Ramsay Endowed Chair of Psychiatry and Barbara Lemann Professor of Child Welfare, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans
