Advocates Help Georgia Legislators Think Babies™
GEEARS: Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students, a ZERO TO THREE Think Babies state partner, recently brought babies and their parents from across the state to meet their elected officials in Atlanta

Georgia’s 2020 Strolling Thunder event included an advocacy training, visits with state legislators, a photo booth to drum up excitement, and more. The event drew 40 families and over 30 elected officials, including Governor Brian Kemp.
Over the past few months, GEEARS has also been working with a committee comprised of five members of the state’s House of Representatives to study infant and toddler social and emotional health, programs addressing the mental health of young children in the state, and areas for improvement. The committee recently issued recommendations for Georgia leaders. Read this blog from GEEARS to learn more about this work.
