Sandipan Paul

Sandipan Paul is a ZERO TO THREE Fellow. He is a consultant with UNICEF New York and supports the global portfolio in pre-primary education.

Sandipan Paul is interested in policies and programs that affect the education and development of young children. His work involves supporting early childhood policy development, developing competencies and standards for quality improvement, conducting program evaluations, formulating programming strategies, capacity building, and supporting sector planning. He has engaged at global, regional, and country levels, especially in low- and middle-income countries and emergency contexts. Mr. Paul’s work in early childhood development has extended across nine countries, with UN agencies, governments, international humanitarian organizations, and philanthropic organizations.

Mr. Paul has actively engaged with advocacy-based forums for advocating the agenda of young children in global goals and frameworks. Currently, he works as a consultant with UNICEF New York in supporting the global portfolio in preprimary education. He aspires to bring on board complex policy, systems, and program issues from developing and emergency country contexts, share how some of these complexities are being dealt with, and provide opportunities for practitioners to work collaboratively to seek answers.
