Fully understanding children’s development means learning about the families, communities, and systems that influence their growth. This broader understanding shapes how we respond to each child’s unique needs. In this special rebroadcast of the 2026 LEARN Research/Science Plenary, renowned developmental psychologist Dr. Cynthia García Coll offers a research-informed lens for understanding the family, community, and systems that influence and shape children’s experiences.
