Mindfulness Community of Practice

Join Our New Mindfulness Community of Practices…Just for Early Educators!

ZERO TO THREE is excited to offer a new Mindfulness Community of Practice (CoP) designed specifically for early educators! This six-month experience will bring together early educator teams from across the country to explore how mindfulness practices may be used in early education settings.

Why Is This CoP Unique?

Why is this opportunity unique?  Because it’s all about taking care of you. Through this free, six-month CoP, you will have an opportunity to begin or deepen your own mindfulness practice—a tool that’s been shown to reduce work-related stress and increase your sense of well-being.

You’ll also learn how mindfulness and self-compassion practices can be used in your early education setting as a tool to provide high quality, relationship-based services to children and families.

Finally, you’ll have an opportunity to build relationships with like-minded peers who can offer support as you explore mindfulness practices in your life and through your professional role.

What Can You Expect?

Six, monthly online gatherings that are organized around a set of learning experiences designed to give you:

  • Experience with the benefits of mindfulness and self-compassion practice
  • Structured opportunities to plan for using and sharing mindfulness practices in your role
  • Access to a supportive group of professional peers on your mindfulness learning journey

Early educator teams also have the option to join one of our mindfulness CoP leaders for a monthly coaching call. In this call, you have your own coach—someone who can support your mindfulness practice, answer your questions about using practices in your role, and guide your plans for sharing mindfulness and self-compassion practices in your classroom, caseload, and program.

Who Should Apply?

Teams of 2-4 early education staff (teachers, teaching assistants, teaching interns, education managers, teacher coaches/trainers, supervisors/directors, etc.) are invited to apply as a group. We’ve found that having support for mindfulness from others at your program can make it easier to maintain existing practices and try new ones!

Each colleague on your application team should complete a separate application.
