The Realities of Race in the COVID-19 Pandemic

Mom cooks with child, black family

The series will address race-based relational trauma that may shape the quality of parent/child attachment, implicit bias, the parent’s perception of the quality of working relationships with ITCT helpers, and the level of family engagement.

In this first webinar, we describe how specific racial disparities emotionally wound young children and families in the child-welfare system. We have also developed four evidenced-based tools for teams to use to understand and document the psychosocial impact of racial disparities on children and families of color.
