ZERO TO THREE is Celebrating 40 Years!

ZERO TO THREE was launched in 1977 with $12,000, one staff person, and a big vision for babies. More than 150 million babies have been born in the United States since then, and ZERO TO THREE has been dedicated to making sure that each and every one of them has a strong start in life.

Throughout 2017, we will be telling the story of our 40 years and the exciting advancements of the early childhood field.

Please follow ZERO TO THREE on Facebook and Twitter to join the celebration all year long.

ZERO TO THREE is Asking Congress to #ThinkBabies

ZERO TO THREE is proud to announce the launch of the Think Babies campaign, supported in part by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which aims to make the potential of every baby our national priority.

Throughout the next few months, we will mobilize advocates to educate Congress and help make sure all families have the resources and support they need to give their babies a strong start in life.

Visit ThinkBabies.org to learn more about the Think Babies campaign and use our “thought bubble” generator to tell Congress why they need to #ThinkBabies!

NEW ZERO TO THREE Membership Program

With the launch of our membership program in June 2016, ZERO TO THREE took an historic step in expanding its support for those who care for and work with children prenatal through age 5.

Our multi-disciplinary members represent every sector, in every setting, across the early childhood field. With our members already numbering over 1,500 worldwide and growing every day, we are thrilled to deliver a membership that echoes our view that a coordinated, collaborative, and comprehensive early childhood community is essential to providing the high-quality care and services very young children and their caregivers require and deserve.

In 1994, ZERO TO THREE published a groundbreaking manual, DC:0–3 Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood, the first developmentally based system for diagnosing mental health and developmental disorders in infants and toddlers.

In 2016, we built on the powerful legacy of the original using the latest scientific findings and clinical research and released the much anticipated DC:0-5. ZERO TO THREE is currently offering training around the world through a team of Expert Faculty trained directly by the authors of DC:0–5.
