Ashley Adams

Attending Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Boston Children’s Hospital

As a physician trained in pediatrics, adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, Ashley Adams, MD, FAAP, is dedicated to helping infants, young children and their families develop strong relationships that promote their development and mental health. 

Dr. Adams is an attending psychiatrist in the Early Childhood Mental Health outpatient program at Boston Children’s Hospital and co-leads the psychiatry consult-liaison team at Franciscan Children’s. There, she provides psychosocial assessments, relational interventions and education for staff caring for infants and young children with medical complexity. 

She draws on specialized training in Circle of Security, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and the Brazelton Touchpoints model in her clinical work. She also develops and teaches coursework on the humanities in medicine and professional identity development, while teaching pediatric residents and child and adolescent psychiatry fellows.
