Clare Viglione, PhD, MPH, RD, is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science at UC San Diego and director of the GROW.V.BABY Practice-Based Research Network at Vital Village Networks.
Dr. Viglione uses implementation science and practice-based research to strengthen maternal, child and family health systems. She developed the Circles of Resilience model, which describes how vital conditions, caregiver mental health, social connection and caregiver-child attunement interact across developmental contexts to shape early self-regulation.
She holds an MPH from Columbia University and completed dietetic training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital before working with families at the Dimock Center, Harlem Children’s Zone and Boston Medical Center. She completed her PhD in health behavior at UC San Diego.
