Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.

What the mission means to Elizabeth

By investing in comprehensive care, education, and support for infants and young children, we can help break cycles of disadvantage and create stronger, more equitable communities where every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full developmental capabilities. It is an honor to be part of this work and be able to partner with organizations impacting communities and families in their daily work.

Professional Background

I started my career serving in the Armed Forces and witnessed and experienced firsthand the results of family supports and resources. As I transitioned into the civilian sector, I found myself working in education and programming for a national non-profit which eventually took me into the K-12 space partnering with districts and educational partners to develop and deliver world-class professional development and learning.

It is both thrilling and heartbreaking to see the vast differences in outcomes for students across the country and when we look at early supports and access to resources, we can easily connect the dots. This is what brought me to Zero to Three. This organization is comprised of many brilliant and committed individuals who are dedicated to getting up each day and working to support, encourage, and equip early educators, families, and all who support or youngest children. I am proud to be part of a team doing this incredible work.

Future Vision

Imagine a future where all babies, toddlers, and children have access to thriving learning environments where educators are seen, heard, and have the research and materials to help these children thrive. Imagine a world where every child entering into kindergarten is prepared academically, socially, emotionally, as well as families. Imagine a world where a parent does not have to choose between working to support their family or finding and affording care for their children. We can work together to create that future. It takes a village and we are here to create this future.
