A bilingual (English/Spanish) mental health clinician, educator, researcher and community advocate, Leticia B. Mejia, ACSW, PPS-C, is passionate about expanding access to culturally responsive mental health care and educational opportunities, particularly in rural communities where resources are often limited.
As a mental health clinician with Victor Community Support Services, Mejia provides trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health services for children, adolescents and families. Her experience also includes school social work, integrated behavioral health, early childhood education and parent support. Her research explores resilience, educational equity and the experiences of historically underserved populations, and she has presented her work at regional, statewide and national conferences.
Mejia holds a master’s degree in social work and her Pupil Personnel Services Credential from California State University, Chico. She has also received multiple honors recognizing excellence in research, leadership and community engagement.
