Michael J. MacKenzie, PhD, MSW, is the Canada Research Chair in Child Well-Being and professor of social work and pediatrics at McGill University. Dr. MacKenzie is also a member of the ZERO TO THREE Academy of Fellows. Dr. MacKenzie’s focus is on the accumulation of stress, adversity, and trauma in early childhood and the impact on parenting, including the roots of harsh parenting and pathways of children into and through the child welfare system.
