Sr. Budget and Financial Planning Director
When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

What the mission means to Stephanie

Now that I have three grandchildren ranging in age from newborn to 4 years old, I am reminded of how important it is for children to get a strong start in life. The environment and experiences that take place during the first few years of a child’s life are critical to their growth and development, so it is important that ZTT advocates for their safety and wellbeing.

Professional Background

Stephanie has over 30 years of experience in accounting, budgeting and financial analysis, with 16 of those years most recently at the National Council on Aging, where her impact improved the lives of millions of older Americans. Having joined ZTT in January 2024, Stephanie now gets to support the opposite end of the spectrum as the Senior Director of Budget and Financial Planning where her job indirectly supports the important programmatic work benefiting children. Stephanie works on the ZTT annual budget and oversees the Grants Team to ensure that the life cycle of grants and contracts from proposal submission to funder reporting and close-out reports are all prepared accurately and on time. Proper monitoring and management of our grants and contracts not only helps ZTT obtain additional funding sources, but it also helps ZTT obtain clean audits and high charity rankings. Stephanie enjoys collaborating directly with program staff where she is able to learn about the work ZTT does and, more importantly, the great impact ZTT has.

Future Vision

It would be wonderful to see a time when all children receive the same level of care and opportunities at the start of their lives. It would be equally wonderful to see a time when those who care for and teach children receive better than adequate support and an increased pay scale so that these critical professions are not only sustainable but sought after to a much higher degree.
