Pediatric Physical Therapist/Founder, Three Little Ducks

Suma Metla is a pediatric physical therapist and founder of Three Little Ducks, a pediatric health and development company based in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. 

Metla founded Three Little Ducks in 2022, growing it from a solo practice into a multidisciplinary team offering pediatric physical therapy, speech-language pathology, baby and toddler classes and community events. She is also leading the development of an app designed to help families understand developmental milestones and support earlier identification of delays. 

Metla has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Hawaiʻi West Oʻahu, the Hawaiʻi Pacific University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and MNR University in India. A published children’s book author, she has also participated in ZERO TO THREE’s Strolling Thunder program, and her work has been recognized by the Hawaiʻi Children’s Action Network, Better Business Bureau and Pacific Business News.
