As a licensed clinical social worker, adult adoptee and former elementary educator, Tiffany Salter’s work centers on early childhood mental health, attachment and trauma-informed care. Since 2016, she has served children and families at Coastal Horizons Center through outpatient therapy and intensive home-based intervention with the Child First program.
Salter is the assistant director of Child First, where she helps lead a multidisciplinary team that provides relationship-based care for infants, young children and their caregivers. She is trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy and earned the IMH-E® Clinical Mentor endorsement in 2025.
She began her career as an elementary educator in New Hanover County Schools, and her passion for supporting children and advocating for families led her to earn a master’s degree in social work with a focus on early childhood mental health from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
