In Oregon, partners in the Transforming Pediatrics for Early Childhood (TPEC) program are strengthening pediatric care by expanding access to early childhood behavioral health services and supporting practices in implementing evidence-based approaches. Through the Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership (OPIP), participating clinics have received hands-on training, individualized quality improvement support, and opportunities for collaborative learning to strengthen social-emotional screening and connect children with appropriate services.
In this video, Oregon TPEC team members also share how they have worked with Medicaid health plans and state policymakers to help sustain services. By using insights from clinics, the team has helped advance changes to Medicaid quality measures and reimbursement practices that support early childhood behavioral health care.
